Iron goods and pottery flowed from here around the globe. See the World’s first iron bridge and the 10 museums that cover the history of the area. Or let me take you on a longer tour to include the superb town of Shrewsbury. The town's Abbey inspired the Father Cadfael stories. Stroll through its myriad Shuts, or alleys, with their old timber framed buildings.
