Cheltenham was once the go-to place for high society looking for a touch of rest and recuperation. The Spa may have gone, but the magnificent regency buildings survive. So too does fantastic shopping and beautiful green spaces. The birthplace of Gustav Holst, Rolling Stone Brian Jones and Polar explorer Edward Wilson, Cheltenham is also widely known for its prestigious schools, famous horse race, and literary and music festivals.
